Method: Seminar
Semester: Master
In this elective seminar, students individually or in groups analyze, interpret, and present a topic of their own choosing, which is discussed and agreed upon with the instructor. A connection to current projects, the master’s thesis, or future research projects is encouraged.
At the beginning of the semester, students are required to submit a brief summary that clearly defines the research question, relevance, objectives, and approach. Over the course of the semester, the topic is explored in depth. A key focus of this analysis is establishing the context, including the political, historical, philosophical, and sociological connections to the topic. Emphasis is placed on thorough research followed by critical discussion and reflection within the framework of a theoretical discourse, always based on the chosen topic.
