Method: Gaining access to contemporary theoretical concepts, frameworks, and trends, and engaging with a critique-related discourse.
This master’s theory seminar is based on the assumption that there is never enough time to read, let alone read together. The course aims to address a regrettable gap in the ability of architecture students to access contemporary theoretical concepts, frameworks, and trends, and to engage with a discourse connected to critique. Participants in this seminar are asked to collectively compile their knowledge in order to complete tasks within a self-managed group.
The topic of this seminar is MEGASTRUCTURES RELOADED, because megastructures are not only a 20th-century response, but their suitability and applicability for contemporary urban design challenges continue to be discussed.
